The Intense Pulsed Light is a technology used by cosmetic practitioners to perform various skin treatments like hair removal, photo rejuvenation, acne, vein, and pigmentation treatment.

Before and after treatment care with the use of IPL is very important. No sun exposure for 48 hours prior to a treatment and 24 hours after treatment. Daily use of SPF30 sunscreen is also important. Do not prick or scratch at blemishes that will surface.Use light cosmetics for 24 hours. No retinol products 5 days prior and after treatments.

IPL delivers high intensity, controlled pulses of light that penetrate the skin and is exactly absorbed by problem areas, especially pigmentation or facial veins, that causes it to fragment, while also stimulating the formation of collagen and elastin.

Normally 4 – 6 treatments are performed with 1-month intervals, thereafter an assessment is made if more sessions are required.
